Rexford Trudell, Founder
Rex is a native son of the Philippines, born on Olongapo and later raised by his great aunt and extended family on the island of Cebu until the age of 7 when he was reunited with his mother in the United States. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He served over ten years in the United States Navy, including two years stationed in Yokosuka, Japan. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, a Master of Science in Technology Management from George Mason University and an Executive Master of Leadership from Georgetown University. Rex’s vision for Lucy’s Lions Group started from a desire to commemorate his mother, Lucina, from whom he learned the value of hard work, dedication and service to others. Rex and his 7 siblings carry on their mother’s legacy in their own unique ways and are all lions in their own right. He started Lucy’s Lions Group to foster a community-centric Public Private Partnership approach that focuses equally on environmental sustainability, economic prosperity and building a cultural legacy of inclusivity of opportunity and personal and professional development.
