Who is Lucy?
Lucina Alcano Cadungog Trudell (June 30, 1946 - January 27, 2022) is the strongest, hardest-working and compassionate person that I know. A mother to 8 biological children and countless more that she has touched throughout her life, she was a steadfast example to all of her kids (biological and “adopted”) about the virtues of treating others kindly, protecting the defenseless, housing and feeding the homeless and hungry and, every day, making your time count. She never wanted for much - except the occasional game of bingo at the VFW or slots at a casino. She loved watching soap operas and Bob Barker on the Price Is Right. She never forgot her Filipino roots and made sure that all her kids understood the meaning of family, forgiveness and faith. She was a ferocious Lioness whose legacy will live on through future generations of her progeny and those whose hearts she touched. She will be missed but not forgotten.
Lucy’s Lions Group aims to change the world through her example with the very love, compassion and sacrifice she lived by.

The Tao is called the Great Mother - empty and inexhaustible. It gives birth to infinite worlds. It is always present within you to guide you, steady you, to give you strength and humility, and to remind you that kindness nurtures the soul.
